I have a page on my site which describes building a laminated paddle, if

Just putting the finishing touches on my latest one, which is a laminate
of sitka spruce, red cedar, and white cedar. I'll have to get some photos
on the site soon. It really came out well.

Greg's page has a good link, and I think Nick Schade has a link to a good
