I know that Current Designs made strong protestations to VCP a couple of years ago about the deteriorating qualities of the VCP 7.5" hatch cover. I'm informed that they have since changed the `ingredients' in their rubber mix to ensure that their hatch covers are longer lasting. Ocean River Sports, www.oceanriver.com , which is owned by Brian Henry who designed the Solstice series stocks the replacement hatches. Chris Banner Thetis Isalnd.
