There was an interesting article in one of our papers a few months ago
about shark attacks. A scientist had discovered a correlation between
weeing in wetsuits and shark attacks. Apparently, according to the
scientist, the combination of urine and Neoprene is a bit of a turn on
for sharks. I think, if I remember correctly, they had interview as many
shark attack victims as they could, nearly all surfers, and found that
they had weed in their wetsuit just before they were attacked.

I say:

There is a problem with this type of "scientific study". If this same
scientist had interviewed all of the victims he would have also found that
100% of them drink water. Does that mean that if you drink water you are
more susceptible to shark attacks?

The survey was all wet.

If what Bob says is true, then doesn't that make the study rather
uhm... all wet?

I also did a study once and found that "couch potatos" over 357lbs were
some how immune to shark attacks. We found as subjects started mimicking
their behavior, they too achieved this immunity...

Isn't science great!

Because everyone knows that sharks have a particular weakness for
the weed which tends to render sharks near-sighted (not to mention what
it does to their appetites). So when they see a swimmer after munching a
joint, they mistake the swimmers for a seal.

Sometimes when they eat a joint, they start looking for the yellow
submarine and, therefore, yellow kayaks become the target of their
nearsighted state....

Not much can be done. Rehab for sharks has not proved promising. They
keep eating their counselors.

We probably have to draw a distinction between surfers and divers.
Sharks probably like the taste of peeing surfers better. That or Sink
the Stink REALLY works!

How do we know? To answer the question of whether munching sharks are
partaking of the weed we will need to get urine samples. Any volunteers?
