Hi, A possible alternative are Neoprene Boots from the MEC program (that's the Canadian REI). They are VERY similar to the basic Chota's, and I use them since February and so far they hold up pretty well. They are the MEC Swellies HighCut Paddling Boots and sell for $37.00 Canadian + S&H. Drawback, you have to be a member of MEC, but that will cost you 5$ Canadian for live membership. You will find information about those boots, MEC and all the order and shipping details on the WWWwww.mec.ca for general information or www.mec.ca/Products/product_detail.jsp?PRODUCT%3C%3Eprd_id=134973&FOLDER%3C%3EbrowsePath=251189 for details on the boots (Otherwise found in the paddling footwear section). Cheers Ulli P.S. I am a MEC member and spent far to much money in their store. Other than that I have no connection with them. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List - Any opinions or suggestions expressed here are solely those of the writer(s).
