I really like them. The soles are a little soft so I feel the pebbles. Remedied this by using hiking boot inserts. I do a lot of walking/hiking so my calves are thick and there isn't room up top to slip pants legs into them; I just keep them rolled up or sometimes just let 'em get wet. There is a strap and buckle on the top, and the neoprene skin on the inside is grabby. Clamps nicely onto my wetsuit and greatly helps in keeping water out. I really like these things....
