Slightly different topic, but I'm curious..... The inexpensive blue poly
tarps that you can get just about anywhere for covering just about
anything.... how UV protective are they?

My Kayak and Canoe are under a shade tree on a homemade rack attached to
a wooden privacy fence and covered with the blue poly tarp. They are
only out of the shade for a very short amount of time each day (except
when in use or transport) and the tarp is more for protecting against
tree sap, bird droppings, etc.

Is it helping with UV at all or am I kidding myself????
