Wow! It's getting above 40*F in Montana right now, and we're taking off our coats!!! Seriously. And the mud that is resulting from all that snow melting is just a tad too gooey. We need the real cold back! Shawn Gypsykayak_at_aol.com wrote: >tropical sandy kramer who is freezing her buns off in 40-degree (F) >weather Send FREE video emails in Yahoo! I heard it was 43 degrees yesterday in International Falls, otherwise known as Frostbite Falls. So far, though, all the open water on the lakes is on top of the ice. I remember winters when it was 20 below on New Year's Eve. So far this winter, we have not had a single day below zero, and we're in a good way to break the record. I want to go skiing. Hey, youse guys. You ought to be in coastal Texas. It's going up as high as 75F (24C) inland, probably close to 70 here on the coast. Blue skies, sunshine. It hardly gets better than this. Oh, I wish I wasn't obligated to be on the job, although the consolation is I'll walk down to the waterfront over lunch hour and look out across the water enjoying the birds and the breezes, and hope this doesn't bring the usual mosquito bloom. I am working on three trip reports from the end of 2001 with photos that you northerners can drool over, or have warm weather dreams. Cheers.
