Another thing we might try is to see if Paddlewisers might want to put their hometown in their signature at the end of anything they post such as I have in mine (see below). I know where some people are based because I know them from another list (such as you, Brian, from CPAkayaker). The CPAkayaker listserve, BTW, has a common practice by people on its list to include the color and model of kayak they paddle (or a few of their boats).
