Nine years ago my wife and I stayed on Galliano Island for a few days at a 
B&B called the Eagle's Nest.  Nice folks.  While there we went on a 
paddling tour with the local outfitter (I think the name was Gulf Island 
Kayaks but I'm not sure).  We had a great paddle lasting about 6 
hours.  The trip included first-timers and quality fiberglass boats.  Cost 
was reasonable, too.
