RE: [Paddlewise] Paddling Jacket question

After reading about a paddling jacket fitting over a PFD, I starting
thinking about early Christmas presents for me. You know the kind...you buy
'em and put them under the tree for you, "from Santa".

The first thing on my list is a new PFD. My current one is getting pretty
ratty from practice self-rescue work and general wear and tear. I am
primarily a day tripper on Lake Michigan, 5'11", 220 and own a CD Solstice.
I am partial to the Lotus Locean. Any works of wisdom?

	Rain can be devestating for any kayaker who happens to get caught in a
downpour. We all know that kayaking is a wet sport, but we don't need to get
drenched by rain. Merlin was asking about an overjacket. I haven't tried
this product but NRS have obviously thought about rain too!. Introduced this
year, NRS are producing an `over shell' jacket based on their breathable Sea
Tour paddling jacket - it's designed to fit over the PFD. I noticed it in
