Here's a "twisting" dilemma:

Am I the only person who might have difficulty reaching my strobe to twist
it on? It is on my left rear shoulder, apparently too low on my back to
reach across and over with my right hand in order to twist it to the "on"
position. I use a Kokatat PFD "MisFit" (no pun intended)... new model. My
Princeton Aquatec strobe is laced by a velcro strap with the top pointing
up. Any ideas on solving this issue. Or is this a "duh" question. (Geez, I
hope not...)

Thanks!

Well, it is tied to the lashing point on the PFD... the triangular, plastic
"patch" made for this purpose. I have no choice, I think. Maybe if I added
a length of some stiff tube material, effectively extending the overall
length of the Aquatec strobe?

Don't have too much faith in the designers of equipment. Not all of them
are experienced kayakkers, to put it politely. I own not a piece of
equipment that hasn't been modified to satisfy MY needs, instead of the
needs of fashion, cheap production or the muddied minds of designers.

You can make a new lashing point by sewing it on, glueing it, making
some holes in your PFD and using a piece of rope...

Niels.

I had thought very long time where might be best place for my ACR Firefly2.
I use an inflatable 16litre BfA-PFD. Last days I decided to fix it with a
bungee webbing on the more lower right side of my inflatable, the lamps
direction away from my face. Inside the PFDīs cover is still enough room for
this flat Firefly2, so I store it inside and itīs no more visible until I
activate my inflatable. Earlier I donīt need the strobe light and in front
of my head itīs no problem to switch it on with both hands.
Thatīs my solution for future and lots more solution for other equipment is
still waiting.

paddle safe and long
Jochen
