Hi, Dave, Paddlewiseguys,

I saw this, about a waterproof hearing aid from a Japanese company; I
gather it is available in the US.

My dad just got two hearing aids -- he lost some of his hearing to
scarlet fever as a kid, but then, distressingly, lost almost all of his
hearing in one ear literally overnight. Fortunately, his hearing aids
have restored his hearing to a level that's almost as good as before.
Not waterproof, though!

Here's the link for those of you who are interested. They're apparently
even used in diving, so they must be pretty tough. I wonder -- do they
float? Maybe they need a little lanyard attachment grommet :)

Over the years we have hashed out the drysuit issue at least a couple of times
but it has never been put in the PW site. Has anyone saved it so I can pass it
to someone who hasn't lived though reading all of this before? I saved it at
one point but that machine died with the drysuit on it. I guess the zipper got
left open one night.

You can't forward anything from paddlewise without getting the permission
of the author of any material being quoted. If what you want to forward
contains a reply you would need permission from the person who originally
wrote any words being quoted.

Forwarding any paddlewise post without permission is grounds for
permanant removal from paddlewise.

The copyright of any paddlewise post remains with the author of that
post. It's up to the author to give explicit permission for the use of any of
their material, outside of paddlewise. You'll find this rule on the
bottom of each and every paddlewise post.

Violation of this rule has been enforced.
