From: "Kees van der Meij" <keesvdm_at_xs4all.nl> > I forgot to add a URL to a picture of mine in action (It's the same type as > Mary uses): I don't use the Voyageur model, but the Aquapac. I think that the Voyageur is actually a better design. The roll top is less fiddly than the plastic clamp on the Aquapac, and the padding on the bottom is better. Sealline (Cascade Design) makes one as well, but of the three I prefer the Voyageur. There are several hard shell cases out, but they are probably overkill for a GPS. There are clear-top Peli boxes as well as those from Otter (?) and a few others. I'd reserve the hard shell for PDAs, cell phones and other, more fragile electronic widgets. The biggest drawback with the hard shell cases is that they are "look but don't touch". When it's not on my deck, I stick the GPS in the knee tube under the deck and it doesn't seriously affect the reception if I leave it on. The fiberglass doesn't attenuate the signal much.
