I don't use the Voyageur model, but the Aquapac.  I think that the Voyageur
is actually a better design.  The roll top is less fiddly than the plastic
clamp on the Aquapac, and the padding on the bottom is better.  Sealline
(Cascade Design) makes one as well, but of the three I prefer the Voyageur.
There are several hard shell cases out, but they are probably overkill
for a GPS.  There are clear-top Peli boxes as well as those from 
Otter (?) and a few others.  I'd reserve the hard shell for PDAs, cell
phones and other, more fragile electronic widgets.  The biggest drawback
with the hard shell cases is that they are "look but don't touch".

When it's not on my deck, I stick the GPS in the knee tube under the deck 
and it doesn't seriously affect the reception if I leave it on.  The 
fiberglass doesn't attenuate the signal much.
