I weighed 4 different 4 piece paddles I had in stock. 230 Aquabound
Seaclude--1090 grams (yellow fiber-reinforced nylon "Navigator" sized
blades-same width but 2" shorter than the "Expedition" model blade)
230 Aquabound AMT Expedition Graphite--976 grams, Aquabound AMT Tripper
Graphite--934 grams (same length blade as Expedition but 5 7/8" wide instead
of 6 1/4").
220 Aquabound AMT glass shaft Navigator with "HD Rental Use" blades--1132
grams.

I personally would recommend 220cm. in the Navigator or Seaclude and a 230
(but not any longer unless you are in the back of a double) with the
Expedition or Tripper. Because of the different blade lengths the shaft
length and clearance over the deck would be the same for all these paddles
but the shorter ones would be much like pedaling a bike in a slightly lower
gear. More strokes but less effort on each stroke.
The heavier weights listed were probably for the aluminum shafted versions
of the same paddle model.
