No personal experience - just the day before have seen the film on TV on
crossing the Lake Winnipeg to Norway House (in a norway boat, rowing and
sailing).  Wow... nice scenery, but mosquitoes were a disaster.  These guys
tried to reproduce 1840 conditions - Norway boat, pemmican food, no bug
repellents, no mesh tents etc.  Don't remember name of the film, though. It
will be continued soon (pains of portaging  from Norway house farther north
:-)...Sorry for this bla-bla :-)
