Michael, Your comment below is exactly the reason for my relentless nagging about the need to obtain "measurements" that will reveal true answers. Not only can we not accurately "feel" small differences, I think we also can not distinguish between real differences in efficiency and differences due to the relative strengths of varied sets of muscles brought into play by different paddles and strokes.
