My problem from the rear is in hitting the back of the vehicle before I get
it high enough for the cradle. I suppose I could use a little step-stool.

Yes, it probably would.... it is a useful attachment if it doesn't whistle.

Hmmmmm, it may be somewhat expensive but if you have good use of it for a
number of years (my rationale), then the cost per lift isn't so bad. :-)
