Does anyone have any information on ultrasonic wind meters? I lost my wrist-watch combo unit a few summers ago while practicing rope-release seal-launchings, and thought I'd go for something more easily stowable this time around. I'd also like to purchase a wind meter with no moving parts, which the ultrasonic provision affords. I have not heard any reliability feedback on these units and if they are waterproof. Any help appreciated. Stores are not carrying them in my location yet, and the internet isn't as reliable for information as direct feedback. If previously discussed, forgive my redundancy.
