I'm leading an over night trip to circumnavigate Galiano Island in the Canadian Gulf Islands of British Columbia this weekend and I've developed what I suspect is commonly referred to as tennis elbow. During the trip I'll have to paddle about 36 miles in total including two potentially difficult passes with tide rips, whirlpools and strong currents. On a 12 mile paddle last Sunday, by the time I was half way through the trip, the elbow was giving me enough problems that my forward stroke was seriously affected. If anyone has any experience with this type of injury and specific suggestions on how to deal with the injury I'd like to hear from you. I'm hoping someone might share some hints that will get me through the weekend. I'll start to rehab the injury when I return. I'm thinking a tensor bandage may help. Feel free to contact me back channel if you wish.
