I have done a few week long 300 mile challenges (watertribe) and always end up with serious lip damage from the sun (and wind?). Sun screen and lip balms have not solved the problem. The best I have done is to keep a glob of Zinc Sulfate Cream on my nose and constantly re-apply the ointment. I have tried different versions of this, but they all wear off when drinking and eating while paddling. Anyone have any better tips! I saw a comparison show once on women's lip stick and they claimed to be able to wear if for many hours of eating, drinking and kissing. If only it had an SPF rating; and I knew what brands they even compared I would try it!!! Appreciate any thoughts.
