That's interesting Peter, I have the yoke type Stormy, and I love it, especially its lack of bulk. They cost more to maintain, and the inner white lining on mine has deteriorated and flakes off, but Stormy fixed it no problems. The annual 'survey' costs, but it is worth it for peace of mind... Can it be deflated and refolded while in your boat OK? Peter, Certainly it could be deflated on the water, and yes it might be a tricky operation to refold but I guess if you have got so far into DEEP TROUBLE that you need to pull the rip cord I find it hard to imagine why I would want to deflate and refold. I am talking about on the water, where presumably the conditions which got you into DT in the first place still apply. And then of course we are talking about disorientation, hypothermia, cold hands, rough seas, high winds, sea-sickness, other injury, damaged boat etc... Cheers, PeterR PS: What is a sospender???!!!!Maybe I missed something at the beginning of this thread... *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List - Any opinions or suggestions expressed here are solely those of the writer(s).
