I am required to inflict myself on a bunch of lawyers for a week at a seminar in Santa Monica from April 27 through May 4th, with most of Saturday and Sunday free. Does anyone know of a place where I could rent a kayak to restore myself while there? I will not have a car and will be staying at a hotel that claims to be within walking distance of the beach. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. PS For those that recommended Tybee Island for my Spring Break trip - Thank you! It turned out to be a great trip. All eight kids were court-ordered to the trip. Usually it's just most, not all. So they were a handful but the serenity of the place, and the gale force winds, humbled them enough to make it a fun experience. James, Unfortunately, I will be out of the country, otherwise, I'd get you a boat to borrow. Meanwhile, check out the CKF web site and post a message on their email list. www.ckf.org. There are usually a bunch of paddles going on and somebody should be able to bring an extra boat and pick you up. No boat rental places to my knowledge anywhere in Santa Monica. Might be able to rent a SOT at the beach though.
