Gordin - Canadian Naval Duct Tape sounds good to me, especially if both you
and Doug' have seen it in use.

Michael - 1x 3M Helicopter tape roll is 150ft so $125 for 20 years
protection! Cheap at half the price:~), if one is only worried about sand.
I'm thinking of using it on a wooden painted boat as I can buy it in shorter
strips, but I concede your point for fibre glass boats!
