Several weeks ago, I asked how long it might take to get back to kayaking
after a quadruple heart bypass operation. The heart surgeon I had a
post-op interview with thought I should wait a year, but my primary care
physician said recovery was outside the surgeon's field of expertise, and
thought my cardiologist might have a different opinion.

Less than eleven weeks after the operation I concluded my cardiac rehab
program with a Cardiolite stress test. Yesterday a nurse called with the
following three messages from my cardiologist:

* Cardiolite stress test: Normal.
* Cholesterol levels: Perfect!

And finally:

* Go kayaking!

As always, YMMV. I had no damage to the heart muscle before the operation.

Hey Chuck, glad to read your good news ! One piece of advice; now that
your cholesterol is down where it should be, don't continue to overdo on
natural food. A lot of people die of natural causes...............

I'll check with Harry Potter to see if he can provide me some unnatural food.
