Infants don't develop the ability to roll over until about 4-5 months.
Before that they just stay where you put them, which is nice. Of course,
he has been breathing under water for the last several months. If I
could do that i wouldn't need to roll.

Our congratulations to both of you! Our son turned 18 today (!) and he
has been
a great blessing to us. May your son also be a blessing.
A word of advice on parenting. Sea kayaking together is a great way to
bond
with your son. You start out with him as an infant on your lap. (The pond on
the way home from the hospital may be a little too soon however) Then you
put him in the front of a double kayak with a child's paddle. (he will play
in the water with the paddle more than help move the boat but that is OK)
Then you get him a kid's sized boat. For several years you alternate
between
him in the child's boat on quiet lakes and both of you in a double on the
high seas. Then will come the big day when he gets his own full sized solo
kayak and you head out on the high seas together. Finally years from now
when you are old and weary he will put you in the front of the double and
you can continue to enjoy the sea together.
It is called the Circle Of Life.
Enjoy every minute.
