Hi Joe, I have never scuba dived from a kayak, but I plan to try it one of 
these days (probably after I retire!) Anyway, I purchased a terrific book from 
Sports Chalet in Southern California about 3 years ago all about kayak diving. 
The book provides excellent instruction, along with lots of photographs and 
diagrams. The name of the book is "Kayak Diving, The Complete Guide To 
Outfitting and Using Your Dive Kayak," and the author is Mark Theobald. 
 
I don't know if it is still in print, but you may find it at Amazon.Com. Good
