I am in the market for new cold-weather gloves/mitten/pogies and would welcome any first-hand recommendations for handwear that will: * Not absorb water even after prolonged, repeated use. (I have heard criticisms of some neoprene or other synthetic paddling gear that will do this.) * Provide insulation in air temps substantially below freezing (e.g., between 10 degrees and 40 degrees F), with additional wind-chill factors on top of that. * Be durable on camping trips in a variety of circumstances (sand, snow, lots of sun, wind, moderate mechanical abuse). They need not necessarily: * Have fingers, although that would be nice. * Be ultra-inexpensive. In addition, if you have any recommendation for the equivalent in footwear, that would be great, too. Thanks!
