Hi Tom,
 
The only hand gear that works for me at those temperatures is the NRS  
Toaster Mitt.  It has no fingers which is a pain, but that is why it works  as well 
as it does, less exposed surface area.  They do tend to get very  clammy and 
damp after awhile;  right now I'm thinking of what I might use  as an absorbent 
under layer, no data on that yet.
