Well, it's a long shot, but I thought I'd try. Back in probably the mid '60's, I read a book about a toy canoe or kayak that was carved out of a piece of wood. My shady memory says a father and son wrote their name on it and sent it down a river and the book described its travels and travails. Anyone heard of such a book?
