What's happening with post to paddlewise? I only seem to be getting a fraction of the posts. Often I seem to be coming in during the middle of a thread. I've set up my mailbox to direct all paddlewise post to a specific mailbox. Yet Mat's post are creeping into my regular family mail. Is there an explanation? Rather elementary, Holmes. You are losing it. You just woke up in the Oregon State Mental Hospital. Nurse Ratchet will be by soon with your medication. If the large Indian can lift the heavy water fountain and toss it through the window, you can still escape. Take Billy with you and restore his self-esteem. Don't wait for Ken Kesey and his band of Merry Pranksters. They're not coming. It appears to me that some messages sent via the list have odd breaks in the headers -- including single blank lines, one of which signifies the end of headers and the beginning of the message body. For example: Date: Sun, 21 Dec 2008 08:20:23 -0600 From: Tony Olsen <tony_at_tonyolsen.com> To: MATT MARINER BROZE <marinerkayaks_at_msn.com> Subject: Re: Status: RO Content-Length: 2575 Lines: 55 [Paddlewise] Cc: Paddlewise <paddlewise_at_paddlewise.net> In-Reply-To: <COL107-W56B3342C52DEF60B14E25EA1EE0_at_phx.gbl> The "[Paddlewise]" subject-line tag is obviously misplaced, and the "Cc:" header isn't at the beginning of a line, and the blank line is spurious. But after staring at the headers of this and a couple of other similar messages for a while, I can't identify a [software] culprit that might be responsible. One thought that does occur to me, though, and which might shine some light on what's going on: Matt, you were sent a copy of this personally as well as through the list. Does the copy of the message that was addressed to you (and thus didn't traverse the list) have any of these anomalies? ---Rsk *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List - Any opinions or suggestions expressed here are solely those of the writer(s). Email without a subject line appears to be forwarded by the mailing list software without the addition of the Paddlewise tag. That's what happened for me with Mat's post and the post he was replying to. Some of the other delays are caused my the moderator only checking the moderator email once a day - or during storms/power outages every couple of days.
