Amazingly calm water too. I am sure it was a Grumman.... not sure if it was
a Goose or Mallard. I had a friend near Everett, WA whose hobby was to
restore them; they were all wood and beautiful. A flying service in Miami
used to use them to run passengers back and forth to the Bahamas in the 60s.

However the ice retreated and the lake has been clear but very windy the
past two days. Global warming is only a couple of degrees, after all. I
should be paddling but I took a nap instead. :P
