Here in southern Minnesota the temperatures have been 15 - 25 degrees above normal, the snow is nearly gone, and the rivers are rising. I'll be staying off the water, though, due to family health problems. Speaking of health problems, I have a shoulder impingement with calcification that probably stems from a poorly done canoe lift in the early 80s. Since a We-no-nah canoe was involved, I took the problem to the daughter of the canoe's manufacturer. Dr. Cichanowski is a sports medicine specialist with our health plan, and I figure she probably understands paddling and paddling-related injuries better than most doctors. These days We-no-nah also makes Current Designs kayaks.
