As many have noted, this list is populated by a lot of folks who are in
their "middle years". I thought that you might be interested in a
MacArthur Foundation study of middle age, which contains a number of
interesting conclusions, among them that the "mid-life crisis" is
largely a myth, and that the middle years are frequently the best years
of one's life. I was also quite pleased to read that, according to the
survey's respondents, middle age begins at 44. This means that I am not
yet middle aged! (Either that or a lot of us early-middle agers are in
denial.) You can read a summary of the study's findings at the following
site:

I've been working for some time on the basis that the age at which MI
begins can be calculated by adding 5 years to my age. That puts it
currently at 55.

......naw, a sure sign is the Porsche. And metriculous, experimental
facial ornamentation. I have both sure signs, although admittedly the Porsche
resides somewhat ingloriously inside the engine compartment of a multi-colored
'73 VW Camper Van. I need be much less patient these days. We don't really
know 'xactly how fast she'll go but we got her up to the "h" on the MPH logo on
the bottom of the Speedo where no numbers live..........;^)
Which reminds me..........here I am trying to put together a surf boat in
the garage and fuming and generally working myself into a lather about an
appropriate" mold release agent" any of you out there have any experience with
mold release agents or wax? And could you steer me in the correct direction?
                        Many thanks
                            Chris

If you are looking for a epoxy release or fiberglass resin, I am afraid
I can't help. However, if you are doing lost wax casting or
silicone/rubber/plaster mold work, I can help.

And on a VW van that is about what, 80, 85 mph? :)
