This may be of interest to people in the market for a GPS: The Magellan homepage on the web(product availability section) states that their 4000XL, 3000XL, Trailblazer and Meridian XL, NAV DLX-10, NAV 1200XL have all been discontinued and are no longer available. Some of these models are sold through resellers like West Marine and Defender. Whether the company will continue to service them or warranty them isn't clear. There is no mention on the Magellan site of their 315, 320, or 410 models though these are available through West Marine. I assume that they, too, have been discontinued. Magellan still markets the $99 model 300, $120 Blazer 12, $230 Tracker, the $280 ColorTRAK, and the $589 NAV 6000, $589 SkyStar GPS, and $900 GSC 100. The GSC100 has e-mail capability!! What have we come to? To me, a feature like that would be about as useful as the proverbial (udder) on a bull.
