Dump the PC package and just get a data cable. Like Dan has already
mentioned, the free software is better than the stuff you can buy from
Garmin.

Quickly becoming my favorite in the free waypoint management software
department is a program called G7TOWin. This started life as a DOS based
waypoint manager (G7TO), moved up to a windows console program (G7TOW) and
is now a full windows GUI (G7TOWin).

You can get this program from:

Despite it being beta software the last few versions have been pretty
stable.

The latest GPS driver for SA 6.0 isn't too bad, but I like to use G7TOWin
because it will plot your route across water, something SA thinks is a bad
thing.

Shows a GPS water route overlaid onto a SA map by G7TOWin (light blue

Shows an example of a GPS track plot overlaid onto a SA map after download
from G7TOWin (Black lines).
