I have a buddy who for years has used an inexpensive, plastic coated
Sou'wester rain hat.  Just form the thing (plastic side up) into a bowl
of sorts and place in the bottom of the boat.  Rinse well and still use
it for a hat in an emergency.  Just don't loan it to anyone.  It's
already yellow too.
