My Folbot Greenland II has a six inch long scrape on the hull which penetrates the weave under the outer layer of Hypalon. I have some spare hull material, but do not know what adhesive to use to paste it over the rip. Anybody know? -- Dave Kruger Astoria, OR *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List Submissions: paddlewise_at_lists.intelenet.net Subscriptions: paddlewise-request_at_lists.intelenet.net Website: http://www.paddlewise.net/ ***************************************************************************

Try NRS, they have Hypalon adhesives. http://www.nrscatalog.com//product.asp?pfid=1904 Dave *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List Submissions: paddlewise_at_lists.intelenet.net Subscriptions: paddlewise-request_at_lists.intelenet.net Website: http://www.paddlewise.net/ ***************************************************************************

I've had great success using "Barge Cement" to put keelstrips on my Klepper (also hypalon). It was hard to find though; you can try shoe repair stores and craft stores. It was recommended by Baidarka Boats, in Sitka, AK. *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List Submissions: paddlewise_at_lists.intelenet.net Subscriptions: paddlewise-request_at_lists.intelenet.net Website: http://www.paddlewise.net/ ***************************************************************************

Oak Street Portland, OR 97214 (503) 230-0484 They have a large selection of raft parts, repair parts, materials and glues. For Hypalon pin holes, scrape and touch-up of old Hypalon rafts try the Gaco Neoprene Paint. This paint can add a few years to old Hypalon rafts and hulls. For glue there is a one part glue called Shore Adhesive this is the glue you'll find in most Hypalon raft repair kits. There is also 2 part glues that are a lot stronger B&A also carriers a 2 part Shore Adhesive. 2 parts are a little harder to work with.
