Hi All, This is a question geared to those of you who paddle in cold air temps in a dry suit with latex booties -- After you get your feet into a pair of polypro socks, then into your latex booties, what do you put your feet into to keep it protected and warm? The booties are a little loose, not skin tight to my feet, so my feet don't fit into any of my standard paddling footwear anymore!! I've seen people wear teva-type sandals over their booties, but I want a bit more warmth. Any ideas? *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List - All postings copyright the author and not to be reproduced outside PaddleWise without author's permission Submissions: paddlewise_at_lists.intelenet.net Subscriptions: paddlewise-request_at_lists.intelenet.net Website: http://www.paddlewise.net/ ***************************************************************************

Go ahead and spring for another $35 for a winter pair of booties in a larger size. WW boaters often have multiple booties, multiple helmets (so you can wear a fleece beanie), etc. Steve *************************************************************************** PaddleWise Paddling Mailing List - All postings copyright the author and not to be reproduced outside PaddleWise without author's permission Submissions: paddlewise_at_lists.intelenet.net Subscriptions: paddlewise-request_at_lists.intelenet.net Website: http://www.paddlewise.net/ ***************************************************************************
The newer model of Chota mukluks have an ankle strap...and laces. The older model bulges when filled with water. I've managed to keep them, or rather, make them servicable by using duct tape to restrict the bulging.
