Hey all. Thank you for all the responses to my VHF/PDF mounting query. I
went out for a solo evening/night paddle on Sunday after the hockey game
(Yeah Canada!!!) and tried out one of the methods recommended by the group.
Jim has the same PFD as I do and I used his method of running the antennae
up one of the shoulder loops and securing the body of the radio with a strap
(I used a Velcro watchband that I had kicking around). This held the radio
firmly in place and addressed my main concern of having the radio on my
person in the unlikely event of getting separated from the boat. I am
pleased with the set-up, thank you.

Seeing as how my first question was such a blinding success I thought I
would try the group out on another one. This may have already been covered
in the past so please excuse my redundancy if that is the case. What I was
wondering is if anybody else experiences dizziness after rolling? I find
that I get really disoriented after a couple of rolls to the point that I
can^Òt walk straight for about five minutes after getting out of my boat. I
imagine that it might have something to do with the eustation tubes but I
also experience this when I wear a diving mask and thereby eliminate the
water entering my sinuses. Does anyone know of a way to prevent this from
occurring ^Ö besides stop sticking your head under water? BTW ^Ö I don^Òt get
this problem when scuba diving.

Thanks

Steve Davis
