Have just bought one, secondhand, yet unused. This thing is so small after my old Icom M1V - every time I hold it I can't help feeling that the battery or something else is missing :-) All is allright, only one function I can't make work - "LAND" channels group. There wasn't any "land" on Icom M1V, only regular US, International and Canadian mode, so I don't feel like missing something. Just curious. Manual says that M88 is supposed to have Land - "Mobile channels for commercial use, license may be required", but there is no land in this M88 - can only switch it between U, I, and C.
