After reading Paddlewise for many years I have some questions and feel some
of you on this great forum have dealt with this topic.

I have been paddling 10k on a regular basis twice a week for the past 15
years. Sometimes more but usually not less.

Most of my paddling has been in the old style Looksha III L 18-1/2 X W 22
. With added knee braces, I am in the boat fairly tight. I dont know if my
paddling has anything to do with it but my left knee and hip started to feel
uncomfortable in the boat and later on also while walking. It progressed to
the point were a Hip-Replacement is now recommended.

Does anyone think there could be an association with paddling and Hip
problems?

Does anyone paddle again after a hip replacement and what hip replacement
did you have? I am looking at words like Zimmer MIS Mini-Incision .
Anterior vs. Posterior incision.
